Molly Fisher Obituary

Molly Jo Fisher, beloved daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, and friend passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022, leaving a void in the hearts of so many who knew and loved her. She was 14 years old.

Molly Jo was born to Jacob and Katie Fisher on May 20, 2008, in Corpus Christi, Tx. Her parents moved to Orange Grove in 2017. Molly attended and graduated from Orange Grove Junior High School as a member of the National Junior Honors Society.

In her short, but very full life, Molly made her mark on the world and was an inspiration to family and friends. Her big, smile and contagious laugh told you she embraced everything life had to offer. Not only did she achieve her goals academically, but she excelled in her extracurricular activities receiving dozens of awards in 4-H over the span of 5 years including Jim Wells County Grand Champion Homemaking 2019-2021 and Grand Champion Ladies Barebow Archer for her age group at the 2022 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Molly loved sports and played on the Orange Grove Junior High basketball, volleyball, track and field and tennis teams. Her coaches say she was a coach’s dream with her willingness to learn and determination. They commented she had so much potential and always supported her teammates while encouraging those who struggled. We are very proud of what she was able to accomplish.

The love Molly had for family was first and foremost in her big loving heart. After school and extracurricular activities, you would find Molly spending time with her parents or grandparents, playing hide and seek with her sisters and cousins, teaching those same “littles” new things like playing Minecraft, preparing them for a fashion show on the runway, traveling with family, swimming for countless hours, reading a new book, helping around the house, or breaking out in dance. She had fun listening to records, spending time with her cousin Emilee, creating TikTok videos and Snapchats, watching Stranger Things or the scariest movie they could find.

Molly Jo’s memory will forever be cherished by her parents, Jacob and Katie Fisher; idolizing sisters, Scarlett (9), Reagan (8), Paige (6) and Erin (1); doting grandparents, Crystal Mead and Jo & David Newman, Sue Newman (great-grandmother); loving aunts and uncles, Mac Dee and Rachel Fisher, Kacy and Josh Yates, and Sandi Mead, Carol & Shaun Tillsley; adoring cousins, Taylor, Emilee, Leia and Will Fisher, Grayson and Oliver Yates, and Wyatt Coe; and she will always have a special place in the hearts of her teammates, coaches, and the Lady Bulldog program.

Molly Jo, it was a blessing and privilege to have you in our lives and we will always love you.

A Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a Celebration of life to follow at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 3, 2022, at The Grove Church, 610 S Reynolds Street in Orange Grove. Burial will be private.
