Nancy Almond Pierce, age 75, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, September 17, 2022. She was born in Alice, Texas on August 14, 1947, to Robert and Edith Almond.
Nancy graduated from Alice High School and went to work in the field of banking, starting as a teller and working her way up to loan officer then manager. She later received her certification as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She started her work as a nurse in hospitals and nursing homes and later became a travel nurse. She traveled all over the United States providing care for those who needed it and took considerable pride in her work.
In her spare time, she loved to travel with her sisters, one of her favorite places to go was Big Bend, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Thompson; brother, Robert (Bobby) Almond II and her daughter Patti King.
Nancy is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Edith (Betty) and Jim Harp, her daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Matthew Charlton; granddaughter and her partner; Madeliene Charlton and Glen Jackman; granddaughter, Meredith Charlton; grandson and his partner, Ian King and Celeste Galvan and her great grandson Benjamin King.
Her beautiful spirit and joy will be celebrated on Friday, September 23, 2022. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a Chapel Service to follow at 3:00 PM at Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St, 78332.
