Naomi Janelle “Jan” Bell Corgey was born on October 30, 1948 in Pensacola, Florida to Felix Amos Bell, Sr. and Frances Jeanette Garrett Bell.
She went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, November 23, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, her oldest sister, Marcia Adair Ingledue, and her youngest brother, George Paul Bell.
She graduated high school in 1966 from Pensacola Technical High School with a license in cosmetology; then joined the U. S. Army and became an X-ray technician in 1971. She spent the next 20+ years as a stay-at-home Mom, raising her children. She never missed an opportunity to cheer at her kids sporting events or to throw them the best birthday parties.
In 1995, she obtained her Associates Degree in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. She worked faithfully, serving others until she was diagnosed with cancer in March 2019.
She was most proud of all of her grandchildren and took every opportunity to spoil them. She loved shopping, Elvis, and decorating extravagantly for every holiday, but most of all she loved her God. She trusted in the Lord with all of her heart and stood on his promises.
Jan is survived by a brother, F. A. “Pete” Bell and a sister, Martha “Ann” Arnold; her son, William “Bill” Corgey, III (Christian); and three daughters, Amy Jungmann (Russell), Sarah Buchanan (Bo), and Laura Corgey; her nine grandchildren, Brittany Gantz, Briana Brooke (Dakota), Coral, Corban, Caleb, and Conner Jungmann, Morgan, Madison, and Maggie Buchanan; three great-grandchildren, Brielle, Damian, and Braylee Brooke.
