Norma I. Garcia

Norma I. Garcia, 76, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2023 surrounded by her family in Kingsville, Texas. She was born on September 5, 1947 in Mexico to Mr. and Mrs. Perez.

Norma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who enjoyed tending to her family to whom she was deeply devoted. She was a member of St. Francis of Rome Catholic Church and later became a member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where she volunteered as a C.C.D. teacher for many years. Norma was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Armandina Garcia of Alice, Texas and Demori Garcia of Agua Dulce, Texas; son, Michael Garza (Laura) of San Diego, Texas; grandchildren, Miguel Garza, Joe I. Baltazar, Joseph Garza, Brianna (Tommy) Munoz, and Lianna Garza; great-grandchildren, Emberly Jae Munoz, Elianna R. Munoz, and Andres Garza; brother, Lorenzo Leal of Alice, Texas; sister-in-law, Francis Leal of Houston, Texas and Extended daughter Ginger Barnes Andrews; godson, Joe Roger Perez; and many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Armando Garcia; mother, Armandina Ramos Leal; and brother, Edwardo Leal.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Holmgreen Mortuary 2061 E. Main St., Alice, TX. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 28 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church followed by Rites of Christian Burial at New Collins Cemetery.
