Olga Barrera, born on August 19, 1945, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, niece, and friend whose kindness, strength, and unconditional love touched everyone who knew her.
Olga devoted her life to her family. Though she worked throughout her life, her greatest joy and purpose were raising her children, caring for her loved ones, and making sure her family was always provided for. She was the heart of her home — strong, selfless, loving, and always there when someone needed comfort, guidance, or encouragement. She shared these memories through her cooking, advice, and comforting presence.
She was also a well-known and deeply loved woman in her community. Olga never hesitated to greet someone with a warm hello, share a conversation, or lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her welcoming spirit, generous heart, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved, and her presence brought comfort and light wherever she went.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ricardo and Isabel Perez; her brothers, Israel Perez, Isacc Perez, Amando Perez, and Richard Perez; her mother-in-law, Alicia R. Barrera; her brother-in law, Louis A. Barrera; and her beloved grandchild, Brinley Kai Barrera.
Olga is survived by her loving husband, Juan G. Barrera; her children, Roxanna R. Carrillo (Gabriel), Louis O. Barrera, and Kenith R. Barrera (Sierra); and her cherished grandchildren, Alexandra R. Carrillo, Addison R. Carrillo, Ruben Bueno III, Blaze Bueno, Blaire Grace Barrera, and Blake Brooke Barrera. She is also survived by her brother, Baldemar Perez (Diana), along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Pallbearers honoring Olga’s life will be Oscar Estringel, Aaron Frazier, Hector Perez, Richard Perez, Alex Araujo, and Jason Carrillo .
Olga’s love, warmth, and strength will continue to live on through the family she cherished so deeply. Though she will be greatly missed, her memory will forever remain a source of comfort and love to all who knew her.
