Paulita Adams Chavarria

Paulita Adams Chavarria, 69, passed away on December 24, 2023 in Alice, Texas. She was born on September 21, 1954 in San Diego, Texas to Valente A. Adams, Sr., and Maria Vela Adams.

Paulita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who enjoyed spending time with her friends, going to social gatherings, but most of all attending to her pride and joy her fur baby “Chiquita”.  She was someone who embraced life to the fullest and always fun to be around. Paulita was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Juan Chavarria; parents, Valente A. Adams Sr. and Maria Vela Adams; brothers, Lauro Adams, Sr., Leonardo “Evo” Adams, Sr., Valente A. Adams, Jr., and Joe Rodriguez; and sisters, Lydia Valdez (†Ernesto) and Yolanda Ham; and granddaughter, Alexandra Adams.

Among those left to cherish Paulita’s memory are her loving children, daughter, Darlene Davila (Roy), Gene Trevino, Jr. (Martha), and Raymond Adams; grandchildren, Frankie Trevino, Amanda Davila, Isis Adams, Victoria M. Rodriguez, Rogelio Davila, Jr., Gene Trevino III, and Eileen R. Trevino; brothers, Leonel Adams, Sr., Leroy Adams, Sr., (Leticia) and Leo Adams, Sr. (Frances); sisters, Maria I. Trejo, Laura Rocha; fur baby, Chiquita; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Holmgreen Mortuary 2061 E. Main St., Alice, TX.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church followed by Rites of Christian Burial at San Diego Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers; Leroy Adams, Sr., Leo Adams, Sr., Leonel Adams, Sr., Leonardo Adams, Jr., Larry Adams, Jr., and Gene Trevino III.
