Ray William McMurray

Ray William McMurray, 90, passed away September 22, 2021, in Portland, Texas. He was born March 25, 1931 in Big Spring, Texas to John Ivy and Clara Rosalie McMurray.

Ray was a loving husband, father and grandfather who always put his family first.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Orange Grove. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Faye McMurray.

Survivors include daughters, Marty (Danny) Barnett of Orange Grove and Sandra Coker of Aransas Pass; grandchildren, Tasha Burnett and Daylon Barnett; brothers and sisters, JR McMurray, Earl McMurray and Mary Klahr; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will be receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Holmgreen Mortuary in Alice, Texas. A Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, September 30, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Orange Grove, Texas. Burial will follow at Orange Grove Cemetery.
