Reynaldo Flores, Jr, age 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 6, 2021 in Corpus Christi, TX. He was born on December 20, 1948 in Alice, TX to Reynaldo Flores, Sr. and Alicia Flores.
Reynaldo was married to his loving wife of 46 years Francisca C. Flores and had two sons. He worked as an Electrician Designer for many refineries contracted by CDI. Reynaldo enjoyed dancing with his wife, which is how they met, and later married.
His sons fondly remember him as always fixing and riding lawnmowers and working on anything he could get his hands on, whether it was electrical or plumbing he was their go-to “handyman". Reynaldo was a big Washington Redskins fan and loved to eat sweets and always made sure he had his dessert. He was a wonderful man who was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
Reynaldo was preceded in death by, his parents, Reynaldo Flores, Sr. and Alicia Flores and sister, Thelma Laurel.
Survivors left to cherish his memories are his wife, Francisca C. Flores of Orange Grove, TX; sons, Reynaldo (Cynthia) Flores III of San Antonio, TX and Rolando (Tina) Flores of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Laney Flores and Rolando Flores, Jr. both of San Antonio, TX; brother-in-law, Octavio “Tavo” Laurel of McAllen, TX; and nephew, Raymond Laurel of McAllen, TX.
Family is requesting that mask be worn and social distancing be adhered to throughout all services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, March 11, 2021 with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St. Alice, TX. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 12, 2021 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church; Father Patrick Donohoe celebrant. Christian Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
