Ricardo Quinones, age 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 6, 2022 in Corpus Christi, Texas, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 2, 1940 in Alice, Texas to Frederico, Sr. and Minerva Quinones.
Ricardo was married to Olga for 58 years. He loved to visit his family in Dallas and he loved going to as many Texas Rangers baseball games as he could. He also loved going to the Mavericks basketball games. He enjoyed watching Olga winning at The Winstar Casino. He also had a very special love for his fur baby, Blacky. Ricardo did not retire until September 30, 2022 because he loved his work and everyone he worked with. He lived a wonderful life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Federico, Sr. and Minerva Quinones; siblings, Ester Quinones, Rosa Gonzalez, Frederico Quinones, Jr., infant sister, Esmeralda Quinones and his beloved niece, Sylvia C. Galvan.
Ricardo is survived by his wife, Olga Quinones; daughters, Irene (Gilberto) Jimenez and Norma (Ivan Perez) Quinones all from Carrolton, Texas and three grandchildren he cherished; siblings, Guadalupe Quinones, Emilia Quinones, Mauro Quinones, Ernesto Quinones, Antonio Quinones, Esmeralda Quinones, Jesusa Varela and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St., Alice, Texas 78332. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on November 18, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Palito Blanco, Texas followed by a Catholic Burial at the Quinones Family Cemetery, 2889 FM 735, Palito Blanco, Texas 78332.
