Robert Kaiser, Jr. Obituary

Robert Duwayne “Bob” Kaiser, Jr., age 68, gained his angel wings on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. Bob was born in Corpus Christi, TX on May 29, 1954. He grew up in Riviera and graduated from Riviera high school in 1972.  After graduation, Bob spent many years working as a cowboy on various ranches. Early in his oil field career he was introduced to Celia through some mutual friends after seeing her picture in the newspaper. Celia fell in love with her beautiful blue-eyed cowboy and his charismatic personality.  They were wed on June 28, 1980. He spent the next 30+ years working in the oil field for Baker Service Tools, TASCO Service Tools and Smith International.

Bob developed his passion for cowboying at a young age from his grandfather, Erich Neubauer and close family friend, TJ Brown.  He later learned to break colts, enjoyed team roping, and continued to grow his love of the all things ranching while working at the King Ranch Feedlot.  In the early nineties, he started running cows on family land in Riviera while helping his uncle Kurt Neubauer.  These traditions have been passed down to his son, son-in-law and grandsons who plan to continue his legacy.  In his later years Bob enjoyed spending Tuesday mornings taking his grandkids to the auction barn.

Bob and Celia spent years traveling all over the United States with their best friends Jack and Rene’e McMonagle. Some of their most memorable adventures included exploring backroads, viewing the cool mountainous regions and various national parks.  Bob thoroughly enjoyed watching and quoting various old westerns.

Another favorite pastime was attending and cheering at his kids and grandkids' many sporting events. His presence will be missed at Coyote and Lion games.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Duwayne and Frances Ruth Kaiser; father-in-law, Clinton Edward McNiel; sister-in-law, Cherie Merritt and brother-in-law Christopher McNiel.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Celia Deanne Kaiser; his daughter, Kandace Khea (Sean) Fox; son, Robert Duwayne (Niki) Kaiser, III and grandchildren, Kloe Khea Fox, Samuel Wiley Fox, Robert Duwayne “Cuatro” Kaiser, IV and Elliette Dawn Kaiser. His newest grandson, Riley Eugene Kaiser, is expected to join the family in August. Bob is also survived by his brother, Karl Erich (Frances) Kaiser; sister, Terry Kaiser (Sam) Cooper; brother, George Emil Kaiser, mother-in-law, Elmira Battarbee McNiel; brothers-in-law, Clinton E.
