Roberto Carlos Rivera, 59, of Orange Grove, Texas, passed away peacefully after a long illness, now free from pain and suffering. He was born on November 4, 1966, in Sinton, Texas, to his parents, Emma Rivera and Israel Rivera, who both preceded him in death.
Roberto spent his entire life in Orange Grove, where he built not only his home but a legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for his family. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in construction for many years, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for those he loved.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Ashley Rivera and her husband John Serna, Tiffany Perez and her husband Mario Perez, and Asia Rivera. He was a proud grandfather to Alexis Garza, Ayden Garza, and Jaylen Serna, who brought him great joy.
Roberto is also survived by his sisters, Mary Helen Robinson and Mary Sylvia Gonzalez. He was preceded in death by his sister Diana Aguilar and his brother Israel Rivera.
Roberto was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He loved his family deeply and would do anything for them. His presence, strength, and unwavering love will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all those whose lives he touched.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St. Alice, Texas 78332, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 10:00 AM at St. John of the Cross Church in Orange Grove, Texas with a burial to follow.
