Ronald Eugene Swartz

It is with great sadness that the family of Ronald (Ronny) Eugene Swartz announces his passing on Monday, February 22, 2021, at the age of 70.  Ronny was born to Vernie Frederick Swartz and June Evelyn Mayhall on May 25, 1950.

Ronny attended and graduated Premont High School in 1970. He married the love of his life, Donna Kay Humphries, on June 5, 1971. They were married for 46 yrs until her passing on August 24, 2017.  He worked for Halliburton for 36 years before retiring.  He loved camping at the lake and relaxing at the river with his family; he also loved fishing and taking trips to Disney with his kids and grandkids.

Ronny was a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and friend. He will be missed beyond words.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna; parents, Vernie and June Swartz; grandchild, Harley Swartz; brother, Fred Swartz; and sister, Margaret Swartz.

Ronny is survived by his children, Tracy (Josh) Wilson, Debra Berry, Ronny (Jerri) Swartz; grandchildren, Lyndee, Bailey, Hunter, Aidan, Zachary, Brooke, Matthew, James, Michael, Christopher, Caitlann, Shaylynn, and Shelby; great- grandchildren, Kirrance, Kamdynn, Kinzlee, Wimberly, Emilie, and Quinzell; sister, Geneva Parker; brother, Richard Swartz; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Ronny's life will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021, with a viewing/visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St, Alice, TX. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM at on Friday, March 5, 2021, at Holmgreen Mortuary.
