Rosa A. Salazar

Rosa A. Salazar, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born September 8, 1953 in Alice, Texas to Andres and Maria Aguilar.

 Rosa worked for Haggar Clothing in Robstown and was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a beautiful soul that loved cracking jokes and making everyone laugh. She rushed to help anyone in need no matter the time. She was best known for her specialty cakes and delicious tamales. She was the rock to the family, and the glue that held everyone together. She be truly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Rosa is preceded in death by her parents; Husband Frank Salazar; and one sister Leonila Ybarra.

She is survived by her daughter Francis (Mark Pena) Salazar of Sandia, TX; Her two sons Mariano (Victoria) Salazar of Sandia, TX, and Andres (Shyvonne) Salazar of Alice, TX; Her 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; Also, her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 10:00 AM-12:30 PM at Holmgreen Mortuary in Alice, TX. Holy Rosary will be recited at 1:00 PM at St. Pius X Catholic Mission in Sandia, TX followed by Funeral Mass at 1:30 all services will conclude at the church.

Services are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 East Main Street, Alice, Texas.
