Rosie Pierce Obituary

Rosie G. Pierce passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022, surrounded by family and friends, she was 84.  Rosie was born in Alice, Texas on March 2, 1938, and spent her childhood going to school in Alice Texas and spending her summers in Montana and Wyoming.

Rosie married Clem Pierce June 1st, 1956.

Rosie spent her entire life working as a CPA for several companies in and around Alice. Rosie was a true servant of the Lord and spent her life dedicated to volunteering to help the church and the youth in anyway she could.

Rosie taught children in Sunday school and cooked for most occasions of the church.  She loved sewing costumes for others and cooking. However, Rosie enjoyed traveling and adventures with her husband and kids.  Rosie dreamed of the mountains of her youth, which led her as often as she could back to what she called, "Gods Country" (Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana).  She enjoyed the mountains and the cool air and camping.  The Pierces' always took the church kids to Colorado for special trips.

Rosie was the epitome of a true Southern woman. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren with everything she had. She held herself with grace and beauty that most people could only dream to strive for.

Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, Clem Pierce; parents, Carl and Delta May Galloway; and daughter, Wendy Pierce.

Rosie is survived by her daughter, Robin Harrington of Bayfield, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Patrick Harrington of Phoenix, Arizona, John (Darcy) Harrington of Corona, California, Luke (Nancy) Harrington of Bayfield, Colorado, Savana (Wade) Mehaffey of New Braunfels, Texas, Mason Whitley of Alice, Texas, Brent Koenig of Midland, Texas, and Michelle (Nolan) Wagner of Bend, Oregon; eight great grandchildren, Jordyn Sloan (Jeff) of Corona, California, Sydney Harrington of Corona, California, Tristen Harrington of Bayfield, Colorado, Hazel Harrington of Bayfield, Colorado, Bristol Mehaffey of New Braunfels, Texas, Westin Mehaffey of New Braunfels, Texas, Kayden Koenig of Midland, Texas, and Adaline Koenig of Midland, Texas; brothers, Carl Galloway, wife Judy, Benny Galloway, wife Sara, and Clifford and Tonya Galloway; and their children and grandchildren.

Her favorite saying.

"If you met me. And forget me, you have lost nothing, but if you meet Jesus and forget him, you have lost everything."
