Ruben C. Bueno Obituary

Ruben C. Bueno passed into his eternal rest on Saturday, December 8, 2018, after a long illness, at the age of 54. He was born in Alice, Texas on February 21, 1964 to Alma and Rogelio Bueno.

He grew up in Alice, Texas and attended Stonegate Baptist Church. He was presently employed by Pioneer Well Service, Rig 111, having worked in the oilfield industry for 37 years. He enjoyed following his children’s activities during their school years; he supported the Alice Coyotes sports and sponsored other youth sports. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rogelio Bueno and by his daughter, Jennifer Rae Bueno.

Cherishing his memory are his wife, Rose Bueno; his mother, Alma C. Bueno; his children, Ruben Bueno, Jr., John Paul Pruneda, II, and Arnold Gonzalez, III, all of Alice, Texas; eight grandchildren, Sophia Rae Bueno, Ruben “Tres” Bueno, Blaze Lee Bueno, Isaiah Gonzalez, Diego Joaquin Gonzalez, Arnold Gonzalez, IV, and Issac Tristan Gonzalez; his brothers and sisters, Martha Ramirez of Corpus Christi, Texas, Ercilia Joslin of Victoria, Texas, Angel (Yvette) Bueno of Converse, Texas, Rogelio (Carmen) Bueno, Libby (Bernie) Reyes, and Eva (Rene) Davila, Isaac (Sylvia) Bueno, and Homer Bueno, all of Alice, Texas, Wally (Tommie) Bueno of Premont, Texas, Sylvia (Roberto) Bueno Perez of San Antonio, Texas, and Jose Luis (Estella) Bueno of Rockport, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with Celebration of Life Service beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Stonegate Baptist Church, 1604 S. Texas Blvd. in Alice, Texas with Pastor Alfredo Benavidez officiating. Interment will follow at Alice Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St., Alice, Texas.
