Stephen Scott Gafford

Stephen Scott Gafford, of Alice, Texas, passed away at the age of 62. He was born on March 20, 1959 to Robert Howard Gafford and Melba Wilcox Gafford. He was raised in Kingsville, Texas and spent many years working in the oil and gas industry and on the family ranch. Stephen was a unique man, full of character and surprises. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering on his computer, and connecting with people. 

Preceding Stephen in death were his father, Robert Howard Gafford; his grandparents, William and Una Wilcox and Howard and Thelma Gafford; and three of his siblings, Cynthia Diane McCauley, Robert Howard Gafford II, and William Lester Gafford.

Stephen had a large family. Those grieving his loss include his mother, Melba Wilcox Gafford of Alice, TX; his five children: Elizabeth Gayle Gafford Gomez (Ruben) of Corpus Christi, TX, Robert Howard Gafford III (Kathy) of Orange Grove, TX, Renee Lynn Gafford Gantt (Lynn) of Milford, MI, Stephen Scott Gafford II (Jessica) of Sandia, TX, and Colten Tyler Gafford of Corpus Christi, TX; his grandchildren and step-grandchildren: Evan, Ava, and Ruben Gomez, Robert and Olivia Gafford, James Buck, Lynn and Lily Gantt, and Saida and Jovi Gafford; and his siblings: Howard B. Gafford (Becky) of Alice, TX, Catherine Trevino (Jerry) of Kingsville, TX, and Lainey Topacio (Vince) of Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by an aunt and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no services held at this time.
