Terry McGovern Robinson

It is with great sadness that the family of Terry McGovern Robinson age 72, announce his peaceful passing on Friday, July 25, 2025. Terry was born on November 13, 1952, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a deeply loved individual, cherished by his family & friends.

Terry’s military service is such an important part of his legacy. He served in the Army under the 18th Airborne Corps' Artillery Brigade, appointed as HHB, XVIII Airborne Corps Artillery. From his time in the Army, where he quickly rose to the rank of Sergeant, to his later years as a dedicated helicopter mechanic at CCAD, it is clear he was deeply committed to serving his country. His 38 years of service really speaks volumes to his loyalty, discipline, and work ethic. Terry also enjoyed fishing & NASCAR. Terry loved and adored his neighbors and friends, who played a vital role assisting him in his later years.

As a follower of Christ, he rededicated his life to Jesus on July 12, 2023, by a family friend, Pastor Randy Smith. Terry’s baptism in the lake behind his house, is a powerful reminder of his faith and commitment to his journey of faith.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents Robert & Doreen Robinson, brother Michael Robinson, wife Paula Robinson, and nephew Stephen Robinson. He is survived by his wife, Riki J. Robinson, daughters Tina Sweetland & Erica Seidel, siblings Jimmy Robinson, Susan McClain & Timothy Robinson, and three grandchildren, one great grandchild, and numerous nieces & nephews.

A Visitation will be held Friday, August 8, 2025, from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Holmgreen Mortuary in Alice, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Holmgreen Mortuary. Immediately followed by Burial with Military Honors at Sons of Hermann Cemetery County Road 374 and County Road 351 in Orange Grove, TX
