Obituary
Vivian Nell Wiederkehr left this world to be with God on June 13, 2023, just 4 days shy of her 96th birthday.
She was born on June 17, 1927 in Lometa, Texas. She met and then married the true love of her life, Leon Wiederkehr, in 1953. She spent her life making a wonderful home for Leon and their three boys throughout New Mexico, Texas, and even South America – wherever Leon’s oilfield job took them.
We will not think of Vivian without remembering her greatest joy -- her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We will also always remember her for her style. She never left the house without at least a little bit of bling. She loved Christmas and enjoyed the Christmas celebrations at home to be one of her greatest pleasures. The more the merrier!
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband Leon and grandson Gene Harlen. She is survived by her three sons, Gene, Mike and David; her grandchildren Crystal, David, Ashley, Erin, Ryan, Rose and Nicholas, and her great-grandchildren, Hannah, Henley, and Kaleb.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E Main St. Alice, Texas 78332. A Graveside Service will follow at Alice Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in recognition of the incredible associates who cared for our mother during her final years as a resident at Brookdale Assisted Living Center.
