Walker Watkins Strait

Walker Watkins Strait, age 40, passed away Saturday, September 10th 2022. He was born September 16th, 1981 in Alice, TX to Buddy and Denise Strait.

Walker was a cowboy…a true cowboy.  He lived the cowboy way of life and continues to in Heaven with the man who showed him that lifestyle… his dad, Buddy.  He was prideful in his passion for cattle, hunting and ranching, and so many benefited from his knowledge.  Walker was a devoted and loyal husband, father, son, brother and friend.

If you had the opportunity to have Walker in your life, you knew his love for his family and the ranch.  You knew he found the good in everyone.  You knew his carefree simplicity. And you knew his infectious laugh.

Walker is reunited in Heaven with his dad, Buddy Strait; grandfathers, Harold Watkins and John Strait; and cousin, Jenifer Strait.

He is deeply missed by his wife, Madolyn Lowe Strait; sons, Wesley Strait McIntyre and Kyle Watkins Strait; Bonus-daughter, Ava Lowe; Mother, Denise Strait; Sister, Kara Silva and husband, John; Brother, Trey Strait and wife, Ashley; Grandmothers, Betty Watkins and Anna Strait; nieces, Kailey Garcia, Niessa Silva and Avery Silva; Nephews, Bubba Silva, Buddy Strait and Berton Strait; and numerous other close family and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 16th, 2022 at Morningside Church of Christ at 1396 Morningside Drive in Alice, TX. A private family burial will be held at a later date. At the family’s request no date or time will be given they thank you in advance for your consideration.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Mark Pawlik, Bubba Strait, Chris Ranly, Russ Sorenson, Ian Stacy, John Silva, Wayne Wise and Bobby Baldeshwiler.  Serving as honorary pallbearers are Wesley Strait McIntyre, George Strait, Ty Wise, Hayden Lowe, Keith Lowe, Bob Koricanek and Butch Hart.
