It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of William “Will” Taylor IV, our beloved son, student mentor, and friend on Saturday April 19, 2025, at the age of 41. Will was born on October 16, 1983, in Alice, Texas, His ability to light up a room with his positive spirit and loving hugs, touched countless lives, leaving a void that will be deeply felt by his family, students and friends.
From a very young age, Will’s entire life consisted of a wide array of art forms, including music, drama and visual arts. He was awarded UIL Best Actor in his senior year as will as being named a Texas Scholar, while attending Alice High School, where he graduated in 2002. Will attended A&M University in Kingsville, Texas, where he graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He started acting in community plays at Alice High School at the age of nine, under the direction of the late Darleen Totten, who became a beloved life-long mentor and friend.
He was a devoted son, whose warmth and genuine care touched all who knew him. His impact extended beyond his family, to his many students, whom he mentored with patience and a keen sense of humor, always making learning an enjoyable experience.
