Ricardo Lopez, age 55, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

He was born on July 16, 1963 to Paula and Jose Florencio Lopez in Houston, Texas.

Ricardo was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed. He enjoyed barbecues with family and friends and being outdoors, especially hunting. Spending time with his boys as they were growing up was his greatest pleasure; from watching them during their activities to coaching.

He was presently employed as City Administrator with the City of Orange Grove and will be deeply and sincerely missed by not only his family, but by the many people whose lives he touched with his thoughtfulness and generosity.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 31 years, Mari Lopez of Orange Grove; two sons, Ricky (Evelyn) Lopez of Cedar Hill, Texas and Joshua Lopez of Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren, Destiny and Anthony; his mother, Paula L. Martinez Lopez of Orange Grove; his brother, Javier Lopez of Orange Grove; five nephews, Rio Kristian, Matthew, Michael, Richard, and James; one niece, Isabella; as well as many friends and acquaintances.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 with Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel in Alice with Pastor Charles Gulley officiating.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Charles Gulley officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Orange Grove, Texas.

Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St., Alice, Texas.
